Just when I've lost all hope for humanity, I came across this video of male penguins preparing their nests to attract females for mating.
The male penguin is judged by his "impressive property" by the female penguin, and when building a nest he must carefully choose the materials, including just the right shape and sized pebbles. What happens next just goes to show you no matter where you look, Darwin's law is being demonstrated in the sneakiest of ways.
