Coming to DVD August 4: Looney Tunes Rabbits Run

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment will issue the all-new animated film Looney Tunes Rabbits Run on DVD, August 4, 2015. The recently-announced title was teased by Warner Bros. with this question: “What happens when Bugs Bunny becomes embroiled in a scheme surrounding the invention of a highly-sought after invisibility spray?” The answer is: a “mad-cap adventure set in New York City and Paris.” Director Jeff Siergey’s new film will hopefully help fill the void left by the cancellation of The Looney Tunes Show (2011-2014). Siergey was a director of that series.

“Bugs Bunny is an enduring character with timeless appeal [that] is loved by generations of fans. Looney Tunes is a powerful brand among consumers and it’s one of our most important franchises. We’re excited to offer this wonderful new film,” state Mary Ellen Thomas, Vice President Family & Animation Marketing, in the Warner Bros. press notes. She continued, “Looney Tunes Rabbits Run is a clever, entertaining new story that’s perfect for family viewing.”

Also according to Warner Bros.: “It’s a heart-stopping, looney adventure that animation fans won’t want to miss! Joining Bugs and Lola is a lineup of favorite Looney Tunes characters including Speedy Gonzalez (voiced by Fred Armisen), Elmer Fudd, Daffy Duck, Pepe Le Pew, Foghorn Leghorn and many others.”

The Looney Tunes Rabbits Run DVD will retail for $19.98.
