The Official Star Trek Convention in Seattle December 12-14

By , Contributor
Prepare for an influx of Klingons, Vulcans, and Starfleet Officers in Bellevue, Washington (a mini-metropolis less than ten miles east of Seattle). For three days—December 12, 13, and 14—Creation Entertainment will stage The Official Star Trek Convention at the Meydenbauer Center.

Highlighting the three-day celebration of Gene Roddenberry’s science fiction franchise is a plethora of famous Trek alumni appearing in person. Headlining the event are Walter Koenig (Chekov from The Original Series and the six movies it spawned) and Jeri Ryan (Seven of Nine on Star Trek: Voyager). They’ll both appear on stage for panels and will be on hand for autographs and photo ops (Saturday, December 13).

Additional TNG cast members participating in the convention include Michael Dorn (Worf), Marina Sirtis (Troi), Denise Crosby (Tasha Yar), and John de Lancie (Q). A Saturday night special event (separate admission ticket required) will find all five of them, joined by Brent Spiner (Data), together for what is sure to be a memorable, lively Next Generation reunion.

Star Trek: Enterprise fans won’t be forgotten, with appearances by primary cast members John Billingsley (Dr. Phlox) and Anthony Montgomery (Travis Mayweather). Recurring cast member of both Enterprise and Deep Space Nine Jeffrey Combs will also appear.

Of course, the fun extends beyond the celebrity presentations and autograph signings. Costume contests, a “no minimum bid” memorabilia auction, and the famous vendor’s room (where attendees can buy all manner of Trek-related collectibles) are all part of the experience.
