Diamond Planet Dazzles Astronomers

...up above the world so high, like a diamond in the sky

The newly discovered planet, a remnant of a former star, lies just 4,000 light years away toward the center of the Milky Way, around the cosmic corner, and is made of super dense crystalline carbon, which on this planet we call "diamond."

As the news spreads, several sports stars and rappers are already coveting the big-ass gem for possible use in jewelry. The "exoplanet" very tightly orbits its star, a pulsar, every two hours and 10 minutes, and has slightly more mass than Jupiter but is 20 times as dense, like many sports stars and rappers.
