Missing Missy - Lost Cat, No Reward
I had a chance to interview blogger and now author David Thorne, about his newly released book, The Internet is a Playground (Penguin Books). Thorne, who is currently waging a bizarre campaign to dethrone teen crooner/author Justin Beiber, is one hell of a funny guy. Using the Internet for his personal amusement, he's carved a niche for himself as a bit of an agitator. David engages clever sarcasm, dry wit and his own unique brand of searing humor to poke fun at, and otherwise expose, some of the Internet's less savvy users. He also tortures his co-workers via email exchanges and posts them on his website.
Unapologetically lazy in his pursuit of fame (or perhaps infamy), Thorne even lashes out at those who seek to make him a household name. Essentially, David is a rare breed of "evil genius" who either doesn't want to bother with being ambitious, or at least is successfully disguising his ambition as apathy. Either way, we all benefit.
