All-Stars and Absinthe

David Henrie does it up big with a bewitching birthday weekend in Vegas – minus the debauchery!

What’s the best way to celebrate your 22nd birthday when you’re a Disney star? How about rubbing elbows with the best of the NHL, director Kevin Smith, Jon Hamm, and How I Met Your Mother’s Cobie Smulders in Sin City?

While in town to present at the 2011 NHL Awards, hosted by comedian and recently outed Real Housewives of New Jersey fan, Jay Mohr, actor and writer David Henrie hit the Vegas Strip for an early birthday blowout.

After his presenting duties were done, the Wizards of Waverly Place star and his friends dined at Buca di Beppo and caught a performance from America’s Best Dance Crew’s Jabbawockeez, before attending a birthday bash at the Encore Beach Club hosted by RawTeams, who also presented David with a hockey themed birthday cake.

Later, Henrie and his pals headed to one of the newest additions to the Las Vegas Strip, Spiegeltent, to watch the critically acclaimed acro-cabaret variety show, Absinthe, which the New York Times has described as “'Cirque du Soleil' as channeled through Rocky Horror Picture Show.”  Afterward, David met with cast members “Gaz” and “Penny” (pictured), then he and his guests returned to their penthouse suite at the luxurious HOTEL32 in the Monte Carlo, where For the Love of Candy surprised him with a sugary sweet display.

Now that’s how you do Vegas and avoid a tabloid scandal!
