It was Lisa Vanderpump’s birthday (her 51st, I reckon!) on Thursday, 15th September, and what a day it turned out to be! News of the sale of her magnificent Beverly Hills mansion was leaked out on the Internet.

The stunning $29 million house which has been shown in the RHOBH series and in magazines has been quietly on the market (as real estate agents say) for a while, but someone made an offer she couldn’t resist. So Lisa, her husband, Ken Todd, and the world’s most famous dog, Jiggy, are off for a new adventure in a smaller house - in Beverly Hills, of course.

'We found a beautiful, 10,000-square-foot home in Beverly Hills which I adore,' Lisa revealed to Radar. She added: “The new house needs extensive remodeling to suit me and my husband’s needs.“ Meantime, the Vanderpump-Todds will be spending more time at Ken's other home in Montecito, California.

As it happens, another former residence of the couple was also on the market in England this year. Shipton Sollars Manor, in the Gloucestershire countryside near Cheltenham, was up for £3.25 million. The moated Grade II listed, 7 bedroom manor house with acres of beautiful grounds was just one of their European homes.

In 2002, Lisa told London’s Evening Standard that she and Ken usually spent three or four days a week in London, and ran their night club business for the rest of the week ‘by mobile’ from Gloucestershire. At various times, the couple also lived in the South of France and in Monaco and apparently owned a yacht, which Ken referred to as ‘my boat’ in one episode of RHOBH.

The couple left Europe for LA when their daughter Pandora wanted to attend Pepperdine University. Now they have two hugely successful LA restaurants - Villa Blanca and Sur.

The English-born former Baywatch actress has also designed a range of shoes and has her first book coming out in November. Called ‘Simply Divine’, it will give more glimpses of Lisa’s wonderful lifestyle. The publishers’ blurb says: ”Now Lisa shares her tips and tricks for creating the perfect gathering: whether you’re hosting a cozy winter dinner for six, throwing a poolside BBQ, or just hanging out with your closest friends, Lisa has just the menu and entertaining hints that will make it both simple AND divine.”

Can’t wait!
