Finnish games developer Next Games has released the first gameplay trailer for the official mobile game spin-off from AMC's series The Walking Dead. Titled The Walking Dead: No Man's Land, the game will be released for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.
The Walking Dead: No Man's Land is described by Next Games as 'an action-packed strategy game'. The story puts players in the post-apocalyptic zombie-infested world in which the series takes place.
Like the characters in the show, players will have to make choices that can determine who lives and who dies at the hands of the flesh-eating zombies. Players will get advice on survival and combat from Daryl Dixon, the tough-as-nails character played in the TV series by Norman Reedus.
"The Walking Dead: No Man's Land is devotedly crafted for The Walking Dead," Teemu Huuhtanen, Next Games' CEO, said in a press release. "We are very excited about the momentous opportunity to bring one of the most adored TV shows into the mobile realm in collaboration with our partner AMC, the creators of the TV series. We combine IP, TV show talent and join forces with AMC in a never-seen-before way. This game is a big first step in Next Games' strategy to become the premier partner for TV networks, movie studios and beyond who aspire to work with a veteran game studio in extending their IP into mobile games."
Next Games plans to release The Walking Dead: No Man's Land in October.
