The promoters of Coachella felt your pain, and knew that everybody who wanted to go to the annual festival wasn't able to go to. Or even worse, were scammed by people selling counterfeit tickets. So what did they do? Instead of holding the annual bash that has seen the Stooges together, Jane's Addiction and Siouxsie and the Banshees reunite on its main stage over a single weekend, they've decided to expand it over two.
Yes, Coachella 2012 will now be two separate events held over two consecutive weekends. "We will attempt to produce two identical festival weekends. That means same lineup, same art, same place, different people," promise the promoters in a press release. Although we're certain they really couldn't prevent anyone from attending twice.
Even more sensitive to consumers, not only haven't promoters raised the ticket price in the past six years, but if you can't afford the $269 price tag for the three-day event, you can purchase it on a payment plan. Yes, you heard right. The Coachella Payment Plan allows you to put ten percent down and pay the rest in eight equal monthly payments.
Passes go on sale beginning this Friday, June 3, 2011, at 10am PST until the following Friday June 10, 2011, at 10pm PST. This advance sale will be the only opportunity to take advantage of the Coachella Payment Plan.
