Only a month after appearing in June 2011 issue of Architectural Digest, and in an episode of Million Dollar Decorators, Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne are selling their six bedroom, 11,000-square foot mansion in California’s Hidden Hills. If you have a spare $12.999 million ($13 million would just be too obvious a number for the former Black Sabbath front man), it can be yours, the ultimate Ozzy collectible.
The couple purchased the home four years ago for $12.388 million and then hired celebrity decorator Martyn Lawrence-Bullard to do up the place. None of the over-the-top rock star trappings of their Beverly Hill digs that were featured on their 2005 reality show The Osbournes, this was far more of a genteel affair, complete with Victorian-era barn doors, fragile French antiques, and English bone china.
The house sits on 2.25 acres and includes mountain views, a formal dining room, a foyer with a spiral staircase, and a guest apartment for your own roadie. More photos are available at Realtor.com.
In case that house is just too grown up for you, the Osbournes also have their Malibu Beach house on the market too—this time for the bargain price of $9.5 million. Are the Osbournes hurting from those tax woes? According to Sharon, that’s not the reason for the sales. “I get itchy feet. We’ve never stayed in any place longer than seven years.”
Maybe they should have gotten in touch with Katy Perry and Russell Brand. According to Radar Online, the newlyweds just plunked down $6.5 million for a seven-bedroom, nine-bathroom house last week, in what seems like a fire sale, picking up the 8,835 square-foot mansion in the Hollywood Hills from former National Lampoon CEO Daniel Laikin, who was sentenced to 45 months in prison in 2010 for conspiring to manipulate the stock price of the media company. If that doesn’t ring a bell, you might remember it from ABC’s The Bachelor. Producers used the grotto-style swimming pool, stained glass windows, and Spanish decor as a location for one season.
