By , Contributor
Attention fans of Bitten, the Canadian fantasy/horror show that airs on Syfy in the U.S. (Space in Canada): Bitten: The Complete Second Season is now available on DVD via Entertainment One. This is particularly great news for anyone hoping to get caught up on the show before it's third season premieres (which admittedly isn't until sometime in 2016, exact date to-be-determined). The three-disc set contains all ten second season episodes in their complete, unedited form. If you want to know the truth, this set hit retailers on July 7, so if you haven't made your move—what are you waiting for?

The second season still focuses on "the world's only female werewolf," Elena Michaels (Laura Vandervoort). The series is based upon Kelley Armstrong's series of novels Women of the Otherworld. The first entry was, in fact, simply titled Bitten and was first published in 2001. The are a total of 13 books in the series.

From the Entertainment One press materials: "Bitten: The Complete Second Season sees the return of Vandervoort as Elena; Greyston Holt as Elena's passionate partner Clay Danvers; and Greg Byrk as the Alpha Pack leader Jeremy Danvers. The Complete Second Season also introduces a coven of witches who turn to the Pack for support. Tammy Isbell stars as the calm and level-headed Coven leader, Ruth Winterbourne; Tommie-Amber Pirie is cast as Ruth's daughter, the outspoken spitfire, Paige Winterbourne; and Kiara Glasco stars as the young and impressionable Savannah Levine.

The first season of Bitten was granted a Blu-ray release. Sales must not have been strong enough support both formats, so season two is DVD-only.
