Mick Jagger Makes Maroon 5 Edit Video

By , Contributor

Mick Jagger demanded that Maroon 5 edit their original video of the song “Moves Like Jagger”; he felt there were too many shots of him in it. He told the British newspaper The Times, "'Moves Like Jagger' is catchy. I can sing it for you if you want, but I'll spare you that. I know the band, I know Christina [Aguilera] and I know the director. As soon as he sent me the video, I sent it right back. There was way too much of me. I was going ‘what about the rest of your band?’ So I cut out at least half of it.” maroon-5-aguilera.jpg

Sir Mick also admits he rejected an invitation to perform the song live with Maroon 5. He says, “They asked me to do it onstage with them! I don’t think I’m going to be there.” Would you expect any less from the once and future Midnight Rambler?
