
As the credits on many contemporary movies drag on to
infinity and beyond, it's easy to forget that each of those names up
there on the screen is an actual person who has an actual job that is
vital, or at least integral, to the creation of movie magic. Films are a collaborative art, and all of that.


The Motion Picture Academy is presenting a celebration of "below-the-line" movie craftspeople with a photo exhibit called "Crew Call" featuring 115 recent images taken by members of the Society of Motion Picture Still Photographers on display at the Academy’s Grand Lobby Gallery in Beverly Hills from September 9 through December 18.
