Red Hot Chili Peppers Find Fountain of Youth, Funk it Up

By , Editor
I vividly recall marveling at the Red Hot Chili Peppers, absolutely unhinged, wearing nothing but their cock socks, in hot, hazy little clubs in L.A. nearly 30 years ago.

Early guitarist Hillel is long gone, but Anthony, Flea, and Chad -- now with Josh Klighoffer on guitar -- have been punky/funking it up for a short eternity, and they have built what amounts to about a third career over the last 15 years or so based upon mid-tempo, melodic groovers like their latest, "The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie."

Not too sure about that mustache on Anthony, though. Their new album, I'm With You, drops August 30.
