Neko Case: Out For Blood

Elton John Sends Books to David Gilmour's Jailed Son

Elton John has made a grand gesture to the jailed son of Pink Floyd singer David Gilmour. According to Britain’s Daily Mail, John and his partner David Furnish mailed a box of books for Charlie Gilmour to his parents' home. As you remember, earlier this month a London judge sentenced the younger Gilmour to 16 months in prison in connection with the student protests in London last December. While Elton John has never met Charlie, he is friends with his mother Polly Samson and David Gilmour, who adopted Charlie after he married Polly. Samson and Gilmour are said to be pursuing an appeal of Charlie's case as he languishes behind bars.

The two stars will be featured in the 2012 promos for the beauty company’s Viva Glam campaign premiering next February. And no, we don’t know if Ricky will have a lipstick color named after him.
