Okkervil River Touring Tales, Part Deux

Okkeville River's bus breaks down.

By , Contributor

Last month Will Sheff told us the most dangerous part about being in Okkervil River was the driving. "Yeah, it's the driving everywhere. I mean we've had lots of frightening close calls on roads in America and Europe.

Well, the thinking man's indie band just had another one. After playing New York's Terminal 5 they pointed their vehicle to points east. En route to Boston, the band's bus broke down, and as morning broke, they found themselves stuck on the side of the road.

So if you see a very tall sandy haired man with a beard man pacing along the highway, why don't you give him a lift? Despite the name of their new album, I Am Very Far, they really aren't. But why don't we let them tell you by tweet: "Woke up & the bus had only driven 20 miles & then broken down the roadside outside NYC. Forming next plan. Boston! We will reach you."
